Forum Regulations

Moderators are available to keep the forums running smoothly. To make our job easier, we ask that you follow a few common sense rules. Below are the rules for this forum; please read them carefully before posting:

  • No strong language (swearing) is to be used in thread titles.
  • Posts must be relevant to the thread they're in.
  • Hijacking threads is not permitted.
  • Rank/post spamming is not permitted.
  • Spelling and grammar should be good enough that people don't have to decode it. Please use a spell checker if you feel that this may be a problem.
  • If you're PMed by a moderator regarding inappropriate behaviour, you must take the warning seriously, or risk getting banned.
  • No profane or unethical posts, pictures or links. This includes porn. Failure to comply is an automatic ban.
  • Don't take matters into your own hands, report any issues to a moderator.
  • Do not attempt to remove members from this forum.
  • No personal attacks or trolling is permitted.
  • Use common sense at all times.
  • Don't post links to warez, CD keys or any other illegal software/methods. Anything that is considered illegal must not be associated with the forums in any way.
  • Do not alter the functionality of the site.
  • Do not post personal information (including PMs) in the forums without explicit permission.
  • No bumping of old threads, start a new thread instead.
  • No cross-posting of the same thread. Making two threads of the same thing will get BOTH deleted, unless it's an innocent error due to server time-outs.
  • Don't upload or use offensive avatars.
  • If you post content from another website, add a link so we know where it's from.
  • Do not advertise commercial websites or products on the forum, unless it's an attempt to assist a user within a thread.
  • Use descriptive thread titles.
  • Respect other forum members, their opinion is also valid.
  • If you don't like someone's opinion, or the person themselves, just ignore them.
  • Abuse via posts or PM will get you banned.
  • If you link to something that is only suitable for adults, you MUST warn people by adding 'NSFW' to the thread title. NSFW stands for 'Not Safe For Work'. If it's not your thread, write 'NSFW' in your post, and link to the content. Don't embed NSFW content.
  • Do not impersonate another user.
  • Never refute an administrator or moderator decision on the forum. PM the moderator/administrator if you have any issues.

Repeatedly breaking any of these rules may result in a ban. The administrator and moderators will enforce these rules at their discretion. If you have any concerns or comments regarding these rules, feel free to contact me via PM.

Posting Guidelines
This list isn't part of the forum regulations, however following them will make the forum a much better place for everyone.

  • All threads should have a purpose.
  • The OP (original post) should have sufficient content. Merely posting a link and saying how cool it is will not cut it - you should describe the link and put forward your opinions. After all, a forum is meant for discussion.
  • When replying to a post, please provide some content. Avoid 'lol', 'rofl' and other generic Internet jargon as your sole response.
  • Thread titles should be descriptive and succinct.
  • Don't spam the forums with one line generic comments. Generally, if you think your comment is useless, everyone else will think so too.
  • Spelling and grammar should be decent. Use capitals where needed, and put some effort into general grammar. If you can't spell, Firefox has an inbuilt spell checker.
  • This forum will only help people who help themselves. Research your question before posting, don't be lazy. If you can't find a solution, then you're free to ask here. It also helps if you outline what you've tried.
