+1 to aussi3ies

22" seems to be the norm at the moment. It really depends, too big can get irritating for some, but too small restricts you.

Have a look at screens in a retail store, that way you can see what suits you. :)

Yes, I think 22" is the way to go.
I have a ViewSonic VX2235wm and its pretty descent for gaming, Editing and
just other basic stuff.

That all depends on what your budget is and what your happy with.

22inch would do most people fine, just go for one with a high resolution (1680x1050 - 1920x1200 for a 22inch) and low "ms" response time.

24" at either 1920x1200 or 1920x1080 (1080p) is what I'd recommend at this point in time. They're fairly cheap too.
